Casey Rule (b. 1989) is a programmer by day and a composer by night, working as a Staff Software Engineer for Human Interest, singing with the Princeton Singers, and writing music when he's not busy writing code. Among his awards for composition are the Singing City Prize for Young Composers, the Musical Chairs Chamber Ensemble's Composer Search, the ACDA-PA Choral Composition Competition, the Ithaca College Choral Composition Contest, and the Esoterics POLYPHONOS Choral Composition Competition. Casey studied computer science, music composition, and conducting at Lehigh University where he was part of the first class to graduate with an Integrated Degree in Engineering, Arts and Sciences (IDEAS). He lives in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania with his spouse, a plant community ecologist and professor, and their daughter.
